Battle of Hastings
This diorama is on display in Battle Museum, in the town of Battle, East Sussex. I offered it to the museum because there was no space for it when we moved from a larger to a smaller house. Happily, it was in the run-up to the 950th anniversary of the battle, and they were refurbishing the museum, so they accepted. One couldn’t wish for a better presentation, in a more appropriate place. The diorama has its own display case, with text which cleverly uses the diorama to highlight aspects of the course of the battle. The figures in the diorama are by Britains, Timpo, Airfix, Marx, Crescent, Lone Star, Conte, Emhar, Steve Weston and Replicants, including numerous conversions.
