English Civil War Highlanders
We have said elsewhere that during the English Civil War there was nothing visually to distinguish one side from the other. However, there was one army in the war, the Scottish Covenanters, who looked distinct from their foe. The only problem is that their foe kept changing. In the early years of the civil war they fought with the Parliamentarians, but later they saw the Parliamentary side as threatening Scottish autonomy, and they switched their support to Charles I, and, later, his son.
There are spare heads with two of these figures, to enable collectors to convert other English Civil War figures to Covenanters.
